Understanding the tribological behavior of steel under conditions with various temperatures is essential for its application in sheet metal forming. This paper investigates the friction and wear characteristics of DC05 steel at elevated temperatures using a high-temperature tribometer. Experiments were conducted at different temperature levels to evaluate changes in wear rate, friction coefficient, and material surface modifications. The results highlight the influence of thermal conditions on steel DC05’s mechanical performance and provide insights into optimising its usage at elevated temperatures applications.
